The Quarentados at the Pagdiriwang Festival

June 4, 2022 l 3:50 PM

Quarentados is a multi-awarded virtual choir born out of the COVID-19 pandemic, composed of Philippine Science High School (PSHS) Batch 1982 friends who love singing. All are professionals living in different places around the globe, each wanting to reach out to the world to spread love and hope, as well as to give back through the power of music. The group was organized in September 2020 on the Smule karaoke app and later on progressed to video and audio editing for virtual performances. Their choir videos have garnered 1st Place awards at the 2020 and 2021 PSHS Alumni Paskorus competitions, 1st Place and 2nd Place honors at the 2020 and 2021 KanTikTok sa Embahada carolling contests, respectively, which were sponsored by the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC. The choir has performed virtually at official PSHS events and in fundraising concerts of Save the Children Philippines and PSHS Foundation, and have collaborated with choirmaster Joel Navarro and OPM singer JoAnne Lorenzana.
