PAGDIRIWANG PHILIPPINE FESTIVAL 2025
Veronica Bella

Multi-talented Veronica Bella, born in Seattle, Washington, has been singing and performing in stage plays. At age 1 ½, her grandmother taught her a lot of Filipino songs, and she learned so fast singing Bahay Kubo, Paru-Parong Bukid, May Isang Pipit na Iiyak, and many more.
Her first public appearance was on the same day of her birthday, when she turned exactly 4 years old. As a guest child singer, she sang Frozen’s “Let it Go” and then sang, a cappella, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
When she was 5 years old, Veronica was asked to sing at the gala opening of the Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival, and from then on, she always looked forward to performing at this annual event by singing the Philippine National Anthem and other songs. She considers it a great honor to sing Filipino songs that connect her to her Philippine cultural heritage and strong values.
Veronica, aside from her talents in stage acting and singing, was a constant academic awardee during her elementary grades at St. Matthew School. With her great love of music and singing, she auditioned for her school’s stage plays, The Little Mermaid and Jack and the Beanstalk, and was chosen to have roles in both stage plays. She splits her time between performing in the Matilda musical stage play while in grade school.
When she turned 10 years old, she was chosen to be one of the cast of the live public performance, Frozen Junior, at the Magnuson Theatre. She was an active member of her school band performing Christmas and spring concerts, the Musical Children’s choir, and as a child cantor during Simbang Gabi with her songs such as “Tanging Yaman” at St. Matthew Parish.
At school, she volunteered as a student theatre technician, setting up the stage lighting, doing sound checks, and other stagecraft theatrical elements. She plays the digital piano in her free time.
Being in middle school, she plans to continue performing in theater arts that involve singing and acting at the same time. In her spare time, she spends on self-taught piano playing. She has a great interest in learning songs in Tagalog, Korean, and Japanese, which is her way of learning the different languages. Veronica loves to watch live concerts as well.
For this year’s Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival, Veronica will sing the Philippine National Anthem and “Tanging Yaman.”
