The colorful and festive dances of Visayas and Rural Philippines
A Growing Presence in Spokane

More than just performers, KFDC serves as cultural ambassadors—bridging Filipino heritage with diverse audiences and fostering appreciation, connection, and unity through the arts.
A Journey through Dance
During its inaugural year, KFDC introduced audiences to the powerful and expressive dances of the Cordillera region in Northern Philippines. Their repertoire featured:
•Takiling
•Salip
•Ragragsakan
•Uya-uy
These performances highlighted the strength, resilience, and communal spirit of the Cordilleran people, offering Spokane audiences a meaningful glimpse into indigenous Filipino culture. In its second year, KFDC expanded its repertoire to include Hispanic-influenced dances that reflect centuries of cultural exchange in the Philippines. These include:
•Jota Quirino
•Cariñosa
•Miligoy de Cebu
•Sinulog
Through these pieces, the company showcases elegance, storytelling, and the enduring influence of history on Filipino identity.
