Rigor Coloma is a folk singer and songwriter. He has been composing English and Tagalog songs for many years, with themes calling attention to the plight of overseas Filipino workers (Maria Clara). Exploitation of the working class, and abuse of children (Ikaw Ba ay Magulang). Rigor’s performance will feature his latest compilation, Bangon Pilipins (Rise Philippines). It is a collection of songs dedicated o the Filipino nation — a call to awareness about the corruption, political deception, and suppression of truth that continues to harm Philippine citizens. Through these songs, Rigor hopes to inspire “kababayans” (countrymen) at home and abroad to put honorable people in power.
